Can
I get StockBoss?
StockBoss service is available with any wireless device that can
receive text messaging. If your device is enabled for text messaging,
you can use StockBoss service. Interactive devices can use StockBoss
Interactive, which adds the ability to request stock quotes and
portfolio updates on demand as well as receive alerts and updates.
What
is StockBoss InterActive?
StockBoss InterActive is a unique application designed for wireless
devices that allows users to both receive and request stock information
ON DEMAND! With your subscription to StockBoss InterActive,
you'll receive all of the benefits of the 1-way StockBoss service;
control of your stocks, alerts, updates, destinations, etc., plus
the added features of requesting specific stock information whenever
you want. Subscribers may query any stocks trading in the market
24 hours/day or request an update of their portfolio on demand.
In addition, our unique search database allows users to query stock
symbols directly from their wireless device. StockBoss interactive
users may also query such commands as
market gainers and losers, volume leaders, etc.
I have a Wireless Device
- Can I use StockBoss Interactive?
Yes! StockBoss Interactive applications are
designed for the RIM 850, RIM 950 and RIM
957 Wireless Handhelds as well as the PageWriter
2000 series and Timeports, certified by Motorola. This application
will offer you all of the features of our Interactive service within
a folder right on your wireless device.
What is StockBoss PCS?
Receive Stock Alerts To Your PCS Cellular Phone! If you are enabled
for text/email messaging, you can be in touch with your investments.
With StockBoss Alerts service you can watch your stocks from your
phone! Simply open an account, enter your stock portfolio &
preferences, request the alert percent you want, hourly or just
mid-day updates, and receive the messages directly to your PCS phone.
In addition, you may be able to receive our interactive service
allowing you to request prices on demand.
Can I request quotes with
my phone/pager/wireless device?
In order to request quotes "on demand" your device must be able
to both send and receive text messages. Any device that can do this
can use our Interactive service.
Check with your provider to see if they can activate this feature
for you.
What is a "Trial Account"?
In an effort to demonstrate the usefulness of StockBoss services,
prospective subscribers may receive a complimentary, obligation
free, two week trial. Simply register to receive a sample StockBoss
account to your Email or pager. The trial will expire automatically,
so be sure to subscribe to ensure uninterrupted service. Keep in
mind that trial accounts are in delayed data format.
What if I Travel Abroad?
Traveling? Fax or email your travel itinerary to StockBoss, and
StockBoss will fax updates to anywhere in the world! You can change
the fax number at will at no additional cost.
What is my "PIN" ?
Your PIN is your Personal Identification Number. It is usually,
but not always, the last seven digits of your pager or phone
number (sometimes 10 digits- including the area code). Ex: Pager
number: 800-123-4567, PIN is: 1234567. Or it may be your Username
for your wireless device. Check with the StockBoss requirements
for your provider listed in the pulldown menu when you set up your
account.
Where can I receive Alerts
/ Updates? What if I spend a lot of time at my desk?
You may receive StockBoss to your Alphanumeric Pager, Wireless Device,
Email, fax or PCS phone, or any combination of these destinations,
all modifiable 24 hours/day to best suit your needs of the moment.
In addition, StockBoss offers a DESKTOP refreshing feature
for those who are at their desk and want to glance periodically
at their portfolio. StockBoss will retrieve the quotes for you automatically
to your portfolio!
I received an alert that
does not make sense
We have a live satellite data feed directly from the exchanges.
Occasionally a momentary spike or even a bad tick comes through.
Our system checks for these odd alerts, but sometimes they get through.
Usually a corrected alert will follow.
I changed my pager/phone
number/provider
Simply access your Member's page and select "Change Destinations"
to enter your new phone number / provider name. StockBoss pager
notification service will reach any alphanumeric pager that is listed
in the pulldown provider list on the subscription page as long as
you are within your paging zone (you may change your StockPager
zone by selecting another paging destination in your account as
often as you wish).
What if I want to add
or change services?
Simply access your account and access the "Change Services" page.
How am I billed?
Once you become a subscriber, your credit information is processed
securely, and automatically billed to your account. StockBoss
offers prepayment discounts of 3 or 6 months to increase the value
for your money.
Group/Corporate accounts may receive invoice options.

Are
the alerts in Real-Time?
Yes. StockBoss service is available in either
real-time or delayed data (15 minutes for NASD, 20 for other exchanges).
How do I get Real-Time?
Simply click on the real-time icon and fill
in the subscription form. Real-time data recipients are required
to fill out our online agreement form.
What can I get in my
portfolio?
StockBoss currently offers Canadian & US based stocks traded
on the NYSE, AMEX and NASDAQ exchanges as well as Indices and Corporate bonds. Portfolios may contain any combination
of the above up to 75 items at any given time. Within the Portfolio
subscribers may set price alert levels, number of shares owned,
purchase price and date for each item to track market performance.
How many stocks can I
track?
StockBoss members can maintain four different portfolios of up to
75 stocks in each. Keep in mind that you don't have to own a stock
to track it in your portfolio. StockBoss is a great way to track
stocks you may be interested in buying. For example, if you would
like to buy a stock when it reaches a certain price point, enter
that alert setting.
How do I change my portfolio?
How often can I make changes?
Updating your portfolio and preferences can be done instantly
online, or fax your changes using our QuickFax form. Your faxed
changes will be made within the day of receipt. Your portfolio is
completely customizable and adaptable to your changing needs. Alert
settings can be set to meet specific parameters (i.e. page me
at a high of 35 1/2). Modifications are unlimited and may be
modified 24 hours a day.
What is Auto-Reset?
Once a price or volume alert is triggered, the system will automatically
reset the trigger to the next price or volume change, per your preferences.
You never have to access your account to reset the trigger.
Even after you enter an absolute value as a trigger, the auto-reset
will set your next alert at the trigger percentage in your portfolio.

StockBoss Interactive is a unique financial
application that utilizes the graphic capabilities of the wireless
device on the market to provide you with instant access to your
stock portfolio and market information. In addition, the exclusive
feature of StockBoss Interactive allows you to visually graph historical
data directly on your device to portray complete market status.
StockBoss Interactive provides sophisticated charting & navigation
of financial data, plus allows for on-demand requests for any financial
information. StockBoss users have the unique option of modifying
their stock portfolios directly from their pager without ever having
to access the internet. StockBoss Interactive is an ideal financial
resource for mobile users of interactive pagers who track daily
market performance

Download
Once you download the StockBoss Interactive Application to your
PC, you will be able to upload it to your wireless device using
a cable or a cradle. Run the downloaded program and follow the instructions
to upload it to your device.You will find detailed instructions
by clicking on our User's Guide and Navigation Hints. Please feel
free to send a message to feedback from your unit for tech support.
They will be happy to help you should you require further assistance.
Do I need to download
any software for my PCS/Cellular phone?
No. If you are using a PCS phone or 1-way pager, you do not need
any software. Just set up your account and you will be activated
instantly. If you are using a wireless device then you can
download our application from the website and install it on your
unit. The application provides a windows-like interface and offers
a simple way to request quotes and manage your portfolio directly
from your device.
I received some alerts
but not all - Erratic service
Check with your service provider to make sure that you are in a
good coverage area for this provider. If you received any messages
to your device from StockBoss, that means that you are set up properly
from our end. You can send yourself a test message from your
member's page to see if you are receiving messages from us.
I am not receiving Alerts
and/or Updates to my pager/phone
Check with your service provider to make sure that you are set up
for email or text messaging. If you cannot receive a text message
to your device, you will not be able to receive Wireless alerts.
Check your preferences settings and make sure that you have not
de-selected any of your preference settings. Check your portfolio
to make sure that you have entered a portfolio of stocks to receive
alerts on.
I am set up for the free
trial but I want to add Real-Time Alerts
Real time alerts are only available to full account. Go to your
Member's page and select "Convert Trial". Complete the forms and
check the boxes for the services that you want to add. You will
then need to enter your credit info for these additional services.
The charge on your credit card will be from Software Incubators/
STOCKBOSS.
I am set up for the Real-Time
Alerts but I am not getting Real-Time data
Did you fill out the online Real-Time agreement form in your account?
If you selected real-time data but did not "sign" the online agreement,
Real-Time data is not activated until you do so. If you did fill
out the agreement, you are definitely set up for real-time data
you should look at the time stamp on your alert. Our servers transmit
messages within seconds out to your device. There may be a delay
with your provider. Please contact your provider to check the coverage
in your area, or to see if they are experiencing any delays today.
What if I want to Cancel?
StockBoss trial accounts will expire automatically after the two
week trial. If you wish to cancel before that time, you have the
option to cancel immediatlely from your member page. StockBoss will
email confirmation that the account has been canceled. Within the
first week of the month, the month will not be charged.
